Miss Zinah

Zinah Burke is a mother of two with a long history of music! She has been singing since she was just 3 years old! Zinah learned to sing in parts by singing daily with her family growing up. She had been a member of choirs throughout her elementary, middle, high school, and college years, including participating in the Arizona All-State Choir as a senior in high school. Zinah currently sings with the Arizona Repertory Singers, where she is a frequent soloist, and she directs her church choir.

 In addition to singing, Zinah has played the flute for 20 years, including in marching band and as an occasional member of a pit orchestra for musicals. She also plays piano.

Zinah has a BS in Marriage and Family Studies, with coursework in Child Development and Parenting. She also has a background in working with children, as a reading and math interventionist for K-3rd grade.  Teaching music to children is a dream come true! She can't wait to see you in class!"
