Musical Steps Academy was founded by Maestro educator Mary Rudy to bring the joys of Kindermusik to East and Northeast Tucson. Currently serving 100 children in two locations, Musical Steps offers a magnificent seven year musical journey for your child. Classes are offered at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church and Hermosa Montessori School. Musical Steps has received the Maestro award from Kindermusik International, recognizing it as one of the top 5% of programs world wide.

Summer programs and camps for children 0-7 years are held at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church . Kindermusik for the Young Child is offered after school at this location as well as Hermosa Montessori School. To learn more about this program for 5-7 year olds, watch this video:

Musical Steps Academy at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church was begun by Maestro educator  Mary Rudy in the fall of 2007. Classes are offered for children 0-7 years. After-school classes for children ages 5-7 are also offered by Mary at Hermosa Montessori School. Mary is the music teacher at Hermosa  Montessori for pre-school through 6th grade. Before moving to Tucson, Mary ran two successful studios in Bozeman, Montana serving over 150 children. Mary has 18 years experience both in teaching Kindermusik and in helping train Kindermusik educators from around the world.

Jodi Darling joined the staff of Musical Steps in the summer of 2008 and now teaches classes at Tanque Verde Church, as well as our new location at Ventana Vista School. Jodi has a tremendous background in musical theatre. Please see Jodi and Mary's bios under the section called Staff.
